Penang

Penang Bridge

Connecting the mainland and the island of Penang, Penang Bridge is the country's longest bridge at 13.5 km. Modelled after San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, this iconic bridge is the venue of the annual Penang Bridge International Marathon. Magnificent coastal views greet you on both sides as you drive along the bridge.

Kek Lok Si Temple

Standing majestically on top of a hill overlooking the little town of Ayer Itam, Kek Lok Si is the finest and largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia. Founded more than a hundred years ago, its highlights include a striking seven-tiered pagoda called `The Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas’ and a 120-foot bronze statue of Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy.

Penang National Park

Home to hundreds of flora and fauna species, the Penang National Park is a wondrous journey into the heart of nature. Also contained within the park are a 19th-century lighthouse, a natural meromictic lake, nature trails, a turtle conservation centre and a canopy walkway.
